Try a practice
Unconditional positive self-regard
Place a hand on your heart. Say: "I'm allowed to be exactly where I am right now. Nothing about this moment makes me less worthy." Stay for 30 seconds.
Reflective listening (with yourself)
Write down what you're feeling. Then write back to yourself the way a kind friend would — reflecting, not advising. "It sounds like you're really tired and disappointed. That makes sense."
Your ideal self
Who are you when you're at your most alive — kind, curious, brave, real? Describe that version of you in 3 sentences. What would they do today?
Strengths inventory
List 5 things you actually like about yourself. If that feels hard, list 5 things someone who loves you would say. Read them aloud.
